There are many reasons why I travel. On Voyage Scribe, I talk a lot about how traveling gives me writing inspiration. But what I hardly ever write about here is one of my absolute favorite reasons to travel: trying new food (and international snacks) from around the world.
Luckily, even now when we can’t travel internationally, it’s still possible to try new international foods and new favorite snacks! Granted, it’s not the same as trying it in the country it comes from, but in the times of hardship (like a global pandemic), we’ve had to learn to take what we can get.
Trying food from around the world is one of my favorite forms of armchair travel! I could pretend to be traveling somewhere new with each bite of a new, exotic taste, which people on the other side of the world consider a normal taste. I absolutely love that.
So, if you’re ready to try new international snacks from the comfort of your home, I hope you find some ideas in this blog post full of food from around the world!
